What health insurance do you have?
Whether your treatment can be covered by public health insurance depends on your entitlement and valid proof of coverage.
European Health Insurance Card
With a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), medically necessary treatment covered by the public healthcare system can be billed under the applicable rules during your temporary stay.
Additional private services are not automatically covered. We will let you know in advance if you need to pay for any services.
Private care & travel insurance
If your treatment cannot be billed to public health insurance, or you choose a private service, you will need to pay for your treatment yourself. You will receive an invoice, which you may be able to submit to your private health or travel insurer for reimbursement.
During opening hours: 90–250 €
Outside opening hours: 150–310 €
Depending on the examinations and tests required.
